Whose turn is it?
Settle it fair and square.
No arguing with the wheel.
Whoever loses is muggins. Eleven games pick one person — for the tea round, the pub round, the washing up, the next bin run — played across everyone's phones, iPhone and Android in the same crew, or by passing one handset round. Crews that run on drinks can switch on the order list too.

How it works
Set up once, then it's a ritual that takes under a minute — and nobody has to keep a tally in their head. Office, pub, flat, team: anywhere one of you has to do the thing.
Start a crew and you get a code like BREW-K7F3QX and an invite link that opens straight into the app. Share it round the office, the group chat or the pub table; everyone joins from their own phone, iPhone or Android. No sign-up, no password.
Tap Start a round and the whole crew gets a notification. They've got two minutes to tap "I'm in" — latecomers miss out.
Pick one of eleven games. One name comes out, and that's muggins. Running a tea or pub round? Switch on the drinks order and the loser gets everyone's usual as a checklist.
Two ways to play
A toggle at the top of the game picker switches between them. Same games either way.
Everyone plays from their own handset and the round stays in sync live — iPhones and Androids in the same crew. Secret picks stay secret, reaction times are measured on your own phone so lag can't cheat anyone, and the whole crew watches the result land at once. Works just as well when half the crew is at home.
Only one person has the app? Pass the phone round and take your turns on the same screen. Some games are built for exactly this — Pass the Bomb only ever runs on one device, and the others hide your choice before they hand over.
Eleven ways to settle it
Every game is properly random or properly even-handed — never a stitch-up. Pick whichever suits the mood that day.
Spin for a victim.
Everyone in the round gets a slice. The host spins, the wheel slows, and wherever it lands — they're muggins. Everyone else watches it happen live on their own screen.
Wherever it lands, they're muggins.
Everyone hides 0–3 coins. Guess right and you're safe.
The proper pub classic. Hide coins in your fist, then call your guess at the grand total — and each number can only be called once, so the later you go the harder it gets. Guess it exactly and you're out of the running. Rounds repeat until one poor soul is left.
Round 2
Guess the grand total. Correct = you drop out.

How many coins in your fist?

3/4 locked in
Jump the gun and it's you.
Every phone waits a random beat, then flashes TAP! at once. Slowest reaction is muggins — but twitch too early and it's a false start, which loses outright. Times are measured on your own handset, so a dodgy office wifi can't cost you the round.
⚡ Quick Draw
Slowest finger's muggins.

Secret fuse. Hold the phone, hold the risk.
Light the fuse and pass the handset round the circle. Nobody knows how long it's got — somewhere between eight and twenty-two seconds — and whoever's holding it when it goes bang is muggins. The rest of the crew watches from their own phones.
💣 Pass the Bomb
Secret fuse. Hold the phone, hold the risk.
One of these is short. Choose wisely.
A fist of identical straws with one short one hidden in it. Everyone pulls, either on their own phone or by passing one round — and nothing is revealed until the last straw is out. Then they all open at once.
One of these is short.

One name. No arguments.
For when nobody has time for a wheel. Names rattle past like a fruit machine, slow to a crawl, and stop on one person. Done in seconds.
One name. No arguments.
Muggins today…
Loser's muggins. Draws? Middle square loses.
The one game where you can actually save yourself. Pick two people to duel and they fight it out — on two phones with the rest of the crew spectating, or both on one handset. Best of one, or best of three if you fancy your chances.

Dave's go (✕)
Draws? Middle square loses.
Call it right and you're safe. Ace is high.
One card on the table. Everyone still in calls higher or lower from their own phone, then the next card turns. The right callers walk; the wrong ones go again on the new card. Same card? Nobody's right. Last one left in the pool is muggins.
Round 2 · still in: Dave, Priya, you
Hands on the pan. Hold your nerve.
Press and hold. Whoever lets go first is muggins — but the pan burns at a secret moment somewhere between four and twelve seconds, and getting burned counts too. Each phone times its own hold, so it's your nerve against theirs, not your wifi.
🔥 Hot Hands
First to let go is muggins.
let go first and you're muggins
Ease a block out on your turn.
Fifteen blocks, five rows of three. Players take turns easing one out, on their own phones or passing one round. The tower was always going to fall on a particular pull — the host's phone decided which when the game started — and whoever makes that pull is muggins.
Your pull — ease one out
4 out · it's starting to lean…
Two in a row the same? SNAP!
The host deals one deck and every phone plays it at the same pace, a card a second. When two in a row match, hit SNAP as fast as you can. Your score is your total reaction time, with a penalty for every snap you miss or call wrongly — and the highest score is muggins.

The verdict is in
One name fills the screen with confetti and a bit of good-natured abuse — "Off you go, Dave!" · "The fates have spoken." · "Cheers pal, you're up."
Running a drinks round? Switch on the crew's drinks order and underneath sits everyone's usual as a checklist you tap as you go. Each drink strikes through as it's made, so you can put the phone down mid-round and pick up exactly where you left off.
Hit Logged it and the scoreboard updates for the whole crew. Or Rematch, if someone fancies double or quits.
The verdict is in
Off you go, Dave!
☕ The order — 2/5 made
Optional: the drinks order
For tea rounds and pub trips. Any member can switch the drinks order on from the You tab; new crews start without it. Set your usual once and whoever's muggins sees exactly what everyone wants, written out properly.
Four milk options — Milk, Splash, Oat or Black — then sugars from none up to four-plus, or swap to sweeteners. It all renders into one clean line whoever's muggins can read at a glance.
Before any round you can tweak your order just for that one go — an extra sugar, a sweetener instead, hot chocolate because it's Friday. Tap Change, adjust it, and your saved usual stays exactly as it was for next time.
The receipts
Three tabs — your own stats, the league, and every round on the record. "Fewest times muggins wins. The jammiest sit at the top. 🦥"
Rounds since you were last muggins. 🙂 at one or two, 😎 at three, 🔥 from five up — and 😰 the moment it resets, when it reads "You're next in the firing line…"
"Every round, on the record." The last thirty rounds, who was muggins and when. Anyone who's left the crew shows up as 👻 a departed member.
Logged one by mistake? Scrub the latest round and it comes off everyone's stats, across the whole crew. "Round scrubbed — like it never happened."
Your crew
Start a crew and Muggins hands you a six-character code, built from letters that can't be misread across a desk — no O against 0, no I against 1. Share it however you like and everyone joins from their own phone.
No sign-ups, no email addresses, no passwords — your phone makes up a random ID and that's your whole account, so there's no Muggins login to forget. Pick a name, pick a face from twelve characters, and you're in. Invite links open straight into the app on iPhone and Android alike.
Only one of you so far? Recruit Muggins Bot 🤖 and try the games with a stand-in until the rest of the crew catches up.

The details
Calling a round notifies the crew and opens a two-minute window to opt in. Whoever taps "I'm in" is in the draw; latecomers miss out. Or skip the call-out and start right now.
A nudge every Monday morning — "7 rounds last week. Dave was muggins 3 times — take a bow. 👏" Or, if it's gone quiet, "A quiet week. Someone's dodging… 👀"
Fox, frog, panda, unicorn, octopus, bee, whale, koala, lion, penguin, turtle or dinosaur — each with its own colour. That's your face in the crew.
Someone wandered off mid-game? Play their turn for them and the round carries on. No round ever stalls because one person put their phone down.
Send the code straight from the app, or just tap to copy it. Joining from a code on your clipboard? Muggins spots it and pastes it for you.
Practising against the computer is free. Settling it with real people on their own phones takes Crew Pass — one payment of £1.99, kept for good. No subscription, no ads, and it restores on a new phone with the same Apple or Google account.
Same games, same rules, same crew code. An iPhone host and an Android joiner play the same round and see the same result land at the same time.
Questions
Muggins is launching on the App Store and Google Play. Grab it the moment it lands, start a crew, and send the invite link round.
